tiger in a jar blog

From Tiger in a Jar, they  document life through film and pictures, and they said they enjoy spending time in the kitchen obsessing over food. From their blog: “When Rubi approached us about making a hair tutorial video with her we found ourselves envisioning the over and under cadence of braids set to sunlit gauzy curtains. The idea was less of a how-to and focused more on the feel of a slow-paced afternoon, peeking in on pretty tresses being done up. We hope it inspires a few to try their hair up in braids or rag curls, and we also can’t help but think it gets a few of us excited for warmer weather with plentiful sunshine and a need to wear such dreamy dresses.”

We love them!

“Man-day” Monday – The MadHatter

Hats are a great way to personalize your wedding.  With so many different options of hats, one can not only make the groomsmen outfits more interesting and make them look great while emphasizing unique individuality. Today soft hats with longitudinal dent are especially popular. And colors are not limited, so you can choose a hat for any attire.

1 engagement ring, 3 bridal headpieces: singleBbeautiful

Yesterday we highlighted singleBbeautfiul, an amazing jewelry artisan out of Portland. Since jewelry making is one of the oldest art forms, we thought we’d pair yesterday’s Jewelry Du Jour solitaire engagement ring with one of the oldest bridal style traditions: bridal headpieces (aka bridal veils and other hair adornments). We’d love to hear from you, so leave us a comment and let us know which look you love best!

____

Look 1* Rustic Bride { champagne dreams feather fascinator + singleBbeautfiul}

For the rustic bride, less is more, which is why we simply paired this gorgeous feather fascinator with the solitary engagement ring. Love!

Look 2* Traditional Bride { erica koesler tulle and rhinestone veilsingleBbeautfiul }

The more traditional bride has been looking forward to wearing a long veil for most of her life. Pairing this headpiece with both the engagement ring and solitaire studs helps to accentuate and compliment the brilliant rhinestone accents of the tulle veil.

Look 3* Vintage Bride { twigs & honey tulle birdcagesingleBbeautfiul }

Editor’s Pick: *I love this vintage inspired, double layered tulle birdcage! While delicate with a vintage feel, this birdcage is also the epitome of the modern bride, coming in colors ranging from ivory (shown above) to blush pink, champagne and GREY. It pairs perfectly with our jewelry du jour engagement ring and singleB’s signature style pendant diamond necklace. Pure genius’! ~CB *
