Having an outdoor photo shoot done in sunny but beautiful Arizona in June is all about timing. On a Sunday morning, actually a bit too early to get up on a weekend morning, the Petal Wishes team met their photographer Jennifer Weems, jenniferweems.com at a lovely (and more importantly shady) location in Scottsdale.
Jennifer wandered through the location placing models Megan Briggs and Stephen Logie in just the perfect spots to capture the right mix of modern and traditional backdrops, which echo what Petal Wishes is all about.
Petal Wishes bouquets replace the tired and old ribbon and paper plate bouquets made at bridal events. Family and friends write wishes to the bride and groom-to-be on little petals which are placed on the bouquet. The bride then carries the bouquet at the wedding ceremony rehearsal. What a unique way to kick-off the wedding events, by walking down the aisle at the rehearsal with a handful of love and good wishes!
Jennifer told us she loves the idea of the Petal Wishes bouquets because more frequently she’s also shooting the wedding ceremony rehearsals. “The couples now want to capture every minute of the event leading up to the big day. Capturing those more casual or intimate moments like the engagement shoot, rehearsal and getting ready for the wedding show a true picture of who the couple really is together.”
Megan & Stephen, a darling couple and friends of the Petal Wishes team, were kind enough to spend their weekend morning in loving poses for Jennifer. Megan is wearing a blue eyelet cotton dress from the Gap, perfect for any rehearsal dinner and Stephen’s bright blue shirt is also from the Gap.
If you’re a bride, family or friends of a bride obsessed with every detail of the wedding event (we know you all are) you can order your own Petal Wishes Bouquet at www.petalwishes.com. Making every detail unique and meaningful is our obsession at Petal Wishes!
